We Walk You Through The State Subsidy Program.
In 1989, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) developed the Virginia Petroleum Storage Tank Fund (VPSTF) to financially assist in removing harmful contaminants and cleanup sites where Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) have leaked. Much like an insurance policy, this fund is available for emergencies in which a tank is determined to be leaking and cleanup is necessary. Since 1989, GES has been assisting clients in submitting their claims through Virginia’s Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) for reimbursement.
Tank Removal With Minimal Impact To Your Property.
The proper equipment and expertise is necessary to minimize damage to your property when removing underground storage tanks. If tank removal is necessary, we ensure that it is backfilled properly, with care and respect for your property. We take the necessary soil samples that the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) requires to determine if contamination is present. If contamination is discovered and cleanup is necessary, based upon risk of human consumption or to the environment, we propose a detailed, data driven plan of action to remediate the situation. We prioritize the health and safety of your family, but strive for minimal impact to your home’s landscape.
